Decmeber 8th - A busy day ahead

Tomorrow is December 8th. This is a day I hate working in town. I did it last year and have to do it again this year. Do you want to know why?

Well in Cork the 8th of December is known as farmers day out. This is because December 8th is The Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary which is a holy day of obligation and it used to mean a day off school (but not anymore). This was the opportunity for the countryfolk to come to down and do their Christmas shopping. It is a manic day in Cork! I wonder how the "recession" will affect tomorrow?
