What Christmas means to me

Freshly made mince pies mmmmmImage by stephen.spillane via FlickrChristmas has a variety of meanings for Christmas, from religious to commercialism. But sometimes people do forget that "Christmas Spirit" that does exist.

This Christmas is very special for me in a number of ways. Firstly it is topping off a fabulous year that doesn't stop getting better and secondly its the first with himself.

Christmas is a special time of year and it is a family time, to be with ones you love. Christmas in my house is all about family, so the Internet and computers are normally banned for the day. Which is no harm.

For me Christmas cant come fast enough and this year it is no different. I have everything sorted since last week and I am working right up to around 5pm on Christmas Eve, so I have no choice but to be ready!

I am a big kid at heart and love Christmas. I often have problems sleeping on Christmas Eve and I am awake really early on the day itself. My Dad is as bad. I love surprises and I have no idea what I am getting though I wrote out a list of ideas (Letter to Santa basically) I cant remember what I wrote on it! So really excited. I have already exchanged presents with himself and I love what he got me. A box set of Eddie Izzard DVD's! Hilarious stuff

To me Christmas is always about family. It is a day I give thanks for them. My family are my support, my rock and they are what I am most thankful for every year. They supported me this year through alot. Moving to Germany, which was hard as I am a home bird, coming back to no job (which thankfully wasn't long) and the many other great things my family has done for me over the last 12 months.

So Mum, Dad (even though you don't read this but I'm sure Mum will tell you!) and Claire. Thank You.

I hope you like your presents :D

And to all my readers Merry Christmas! Hope you and yours have a wonderful Christmas!
